Vaughn Neubauer is a founding partner of Neubauer, Pelkey & Goldfinger, LLP who’s been practicing law for over 22 years. His extensive experience as a criminal defense attorney can be attributed to the hundreds of cases he’s tried before a jury. Nine of which were high-profile homicides. Equally important, Vaughn is proud to be one of the very few Wyoming lawyers who is qualified to serve as lead defense counsel in death penalty cases. To this end, he has successfully kept two people off of Wyoming’s death row.
Throughout his career, he has defended the accused on a full spectrum of misdemeanor and felony charges, including; murder, accessory to murder, felony drug, DUI, aggravated assault, sexual assault, strangulation, conspiracy to commit mutilation of a body, weapons charges and many more. Years of fighting out difficult cases against ruthless prosecution have enabled Vaughn to fine-tune his approach to the art of criminal defense. Further honing his skill and allowing him to deliver result-oriented solutions and excellent acquittal rates.
Charles Pelkey is a former journalist, Senate press secretary, and former Wyoming State Legislator for the Democratic Party as well as Minority Whip.
Charles sponsored and cosponsored several bills aimed towards criminal justice reform. Of note, Charles has also been a long time proponent for the decriminalization of marijuana. In 2018 Charles received an award from the Innocence Project . This award was presented to him for the work he had done on House Bill 26, a Post-Conviction Factual Innocence bill. The bill, later signed into law, is dedicated to overturning wrongful convictions in Wyoming, Utah and Nevada.
